DIY walking routes: Architecture on the Zuidas

Do it yourself! With this (walking) route you can discover the interesting, modern architecture of the Zuidas in less than an hour. Nowhere else in Amsterdam will you find such high buildings and modern architecture as close to each other as on the Zuidas.

The Zuidas is the business center of Amsterdam. From 1975, companies started to settle in this area and this area became well known for its modern architecture.

More and more apartments, restaurants and shops are being built on this precious land to make the area, next to the business district, a place to live. Despite the many modern developments, the original urban development plan (originally from HP Berlage) has not been forgotten and can be seen on the small scale model of the Zuidas office in the WTC building. Yet it is mainly modern architecture that attracts architecture lovers. In recent years the new icons of the city have emerged here and are characterized by their innovation, sustainability and grandeur. So worth a visit!

The (walking) route starts at NHOW next to Amsterdam Rai station and eventually runs through the Beatrixpark to 900 Mahler. These are a few stops during a route filled with architectural highlights:
Nhow, OMA
Charity Lottery, Benthem Crouwel
