Park & Bike offers a great alternative
Our Hello Zuidas Project Leader Public Space & Safety Fouad Benaya tried the Park & Bike subscription.
Corona crisis forces us to think about mobility
Of course I had heard of the Hello Bikes. I didn´t know it would be a solution for me. Until I became an active user myself. The corona crisis has forced me to think about alternative travel options to work. In the end I chose Park & Bike - a collaboration between Hello Zuidas, RAI Amsterdam and X.bike (Hello Bike). After parking your car, you exit the RAI parking garage and the Hello Bikes are right there ready to be used after a few simple swipes on the Hello Bike app.
Many actions? Not at all.
I expected the process of parking and picking up a bike would take a lot of time. But the truth is, that´s not the case. The license plate of the car is registered at the RAI and the barriers open and close automatically. So you do not have to worry about parking tickets at the payment terminal, etc. Both the garage and the Hello Bike are very user-friendly and aimed at allowing you to perform as few actions as possible. It saves a lot of time!
Fresh air Beatrixpark
Every morning I enjoy the fresh air in the Beatrixpark. After only a few minutes cycling through the park I reach my workplace in the WTC in Zuidas. In these corona times the park is used intensively by (sports) schools. That liveliness makes the bike ride through the park extra pleasant. On arrival you can easily lock the Hello Bike via the app and the working day can start.
