Farming for Neighbors @ RAI Amsterdam

Farming for Neighbors is an initiative of Rabobank Amsterdam in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam. For example, they offer structurally healthy and affordable potatoes, vegetables & fruit from farmers in the region to vulnerable households in the city: neighbors with a small wallet.

From now on, RAI Amsterdam is 1 of the 4 locations where the packages are compiled and distributed. In the coming months, RAI Amsterdam will make a hall available two days a week for the storage of food, packing the parcels and the distribution of the parcels in the city.

Farmers for Neighbors
The initiative to connect Dutch farmers with the inhabitants of Amsterdam with a small wallet, arose spontaneously due to an acute demand for help that arose as a result of the corona crisis. Boeren voor Buren now offers structurally healthy and affordable potatoes, fruit and vegetables from farmers in the region to vulnerable households in the city, neighbors with a small wallet. In Amsterdam, the focus is on Stadspas holders with a green dot who have a limited income and capital. The goal is to help people outside of Amsterdam next year.
