New Amsteltram tested throughout the coming months

From 17 August, tests will be carried out with the new Amsteltram. This tram can be seen regularly in Zuidas.

Schedule
The tram will be tested and prepared until the end of the month. Every now and then a test tram will run. The technical infrastructure systems will be tested from September. Tram drivers will be trained in October to operate the new 15G trams. From December 2020, the trams on the Buitenveldert and Amstelveen route will be put into use.

New Amsteltram
The new trams are 60 meters long and consist of two coupled vehicles of 30 meters each. Curious what the new trams look like? Then look here . Until the Zuidasdok is realized, the Amsteltram will stop at four locations: Station Zuid (Strawinskylaan), Parnassusweg, Van Boshuizenstraat and AJ Ernststraat.

Zuidasdok
With the realization of Zuidasdok, the Amsteltram will have a stop on the south side of the station. The new station will have a bus station on the north side and a tram station on the south side. You read here about Zuidasdok.
